The health and safety of our children, staff, and families remain our top priority. We have established clear procedures to maintain a clean and healthy environment for everyone at Eureka Kids.

Building Entry

All individuals entering the Eureka Kids building are encouraged to use hand sanitizer upon arrival. Parents and caregivers should ensure that children are feeling well before bringing them to the center.

Cleaning & Hygiene

We follow strict cleaning protocols to maintain a safe environment, including:

• Performing deep cleanings at least once a week, with daily sanitizing of surface areas using approved disinfectants.
• Providing adequate hygiene materials and supporting children and staff in proper use. Bathrooms and hand-washing stations are fully stocked with soap
• Encouraging regular handwashing throughout the day, particularly before and after meals, after toileting and diaper changes, after outdoor playtime, and whenever hands are soiled.

Attendance & Illness

Children who are sick must stay home. Families should inform the center about the nature of their child's absence.

If a child becomes ill while at Eureka Kids, they will be taken to a supervised area away from other children. A staff member will assess the child's condition, contact a parent for pickup, and recommend consulting a medical provider if necessary. Children must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to the center.

Preventing the Spread of Illness

To help keep our community healthy, we encourage families to practice general illness prevention, including:

• Frequent handwashing with soap and water.
• Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow.
• Avoiding touching the face with unwashed hands.
• Staying home when feeling unwell.
