At Eureka Kids, we strive to provide nutritious, appealing, flavorful and diverse meals and snacks. Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack along with whole milk are provided to infants who are able to eat table foods and toddlers under the age of two. Children two years old and up will receive 1% milk with their meals or snacks. All of our meals are prepared by the on-site cook at Eureka Kids. Drinking water is offered throughout the day.
All meals and snacks meet the U.S. Department of Agriculture and State of Minnesota requirements. Our meals and snacks are diverse and offer a variety of kid-tested favorites made with healthier ingredients, like whole grains and plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits. Our menu changes seasonally in order to offer the freshest fruits and vegetables.
Meals and snacks are served “Family Style” at Eureka Kids. This method of dining provides an opportunity for children and teachers to have a conversation about the foods we eat and good nutrition. It also offers the children opportunities to try new and diverse foods. When dining with adults, the children have the opportunity to observe good eating habits, learn table manners and discover their ability to serve themselves. Eating with adults offers children social and relationship building opportunities with peers as well as teachers.
